Anglia Instruments Ltd was established in 1984 and is a reliable supplier of low-cost, modular, fibre optic spectroscopy systems that usually include spectrometers, light sources, application software and fibre optic probe or other measurement accessories.
This modular approach presents a vast number of potential applications that can utilise these technologies, and enables users to configure systems to measure chemical compositions, gather non-invasive medical data, measure colour/physical properties and quantify irradiance in the ultra-violet, visible and near infrared regions of the spectrum.
The flexibility afforded by fibre optic sampling enables an unlimited number of applications for spectroscopy in many disciplines and industries. The measurements enabled by our instruments and systems are used to facilitate research, quality assurance and inline process control.

Applied Sciences, Inc. (ASI) is a small corporation located in Cedarville, Ohio. ASI specializes in the research and development of advanced materials and their applications. ASI is one of the leaders in the development of materials possessing exceptionally high thermal conductivity. Materials currently under development include vapor-grown carbon fibers, diamond thin films, and composites derived there from. In addition to superior thermal performance, these materials possess various other desirable properties, including low cost. In 1995, ASI obtained funding for accelerated development of its Pyrograf® carbon fiber under the Department of Commerce’s Advanced Technology Program (ATP)
Applied Sciences also performs contract research for a wide variety of industrial clients. Contract research at Applied Sciences ranges from dispersion preparation and analysis, development of custom thermoplastic compounds, advanced composite materials, CVD coatings, vapor phase and liquid phase chemical functionalization of carbonaceous materials, as well as synthetic diamond coatings and composites with synthetic diamond.

Our IOPLAS-IITM ion-assisted deposition processes give us the flexibility to apply coatings at low temperatures for plastic fibers and other delicate substrates. We can also generate coatings with greater packing densities to handle very high laser damage thresholds. To add to these capabilities, Cascade Optical has also developed manufacturing processes to apply our coatings to; plastics, polymers, semi-conductors, lenses, mirrors, crystals, metals (even diamond-turned surfaces), and ceramics.
We offer quality products with high yields to lower our production costs. Additionally, we offer very short lead times: typically one to two weeks. Over thirty years of experience have gone into the development of our products. At our facility in Jackson, Wyoming, we design and build extensometers for testing around the world. Extensometers are available for testing almost all engineering materials including: elastomers, plastics, composites, metals, ceramics, geomaterials (e.g. rock, concrete, and asphalt), and biomaterials including bone. There are models for tiny and delicate samples, including relatively fine wire, up to massive metal samples and large rock cores. The huge variety of models covers nearly every type of test as well, including: tensile, compression, bend, fracture mechanics, and cyclic strain controlled tests like low cycle fatigue. Many of our extensometers are capable of relatively high frequency operation as well.
