For more than 100 years Carver hydraulic presses have been the standard for laboratories around the world. Carver Model C presses alone are in use in more laboratories than any other press. The current Carver line has been expanded and improved with more sizes, options, features, and quality performance than any other line presses.
Standard choices now include two-column and four-column, bench top and floor standing, and manual and automatic presses with clamping capacities from 12 to 100 tons. Automatic “Auto Series” presses include user-friendly microprocessor based controls and integral safety enclosures. Accessories include new self-contained, electrically operated AutoPak hydraulic power unit for retrofit to existing manual Carver presses.
Materials research: ceramics, composites, construction materials, cosmetics, drugs, pharmaceuticals, powder metals, printed circuit boards, rubber, silicone and other elastomers, soil, thermoplastic resins and thermosets.

Despatch manufactures a variety of ovens for heat treating synthetic materials such as: thermoset plastics, adhesives, paints and powder coats, rubber and many others. Despatch provides an advanced out-of-autoclave solution to the challenging composite curing process. Despatch composite curing ovens provide uniflow airflow which delivers heated air from both sides of the chamber for uniform operating temperatures. The ovens can be custom designed for an airflow that is best suited to provide the fastest, most uniform heat-up time for any product.
Despatch offers complete vacuum bagging systems with up to 24 vacuum ports. Jack panels allow connection to as many thermocouples as needed for monitoring the curing process. Mold preparation, including preheating, drying and cleaning processes can also be provided.
A control system is available to fully control your vacuum bagging process. A PC software package is utilized to record all the necessary information relating to your thermocouples, vacuum transducers, temperatures, Hi-limits, user access and all related alarms. This system allows full control and ensures parts are reliable and cured to specification.
Despatch provides laboratory ovens for testing and analyzing materials such as asphalt, polymers, composites, paint and other coatings. Testing is used to define material characteristics, detecting defects and failure susceptibility. Despatch ovens are highly uniform and repeatable with extremely tight temperature tolerances for consistent testing. For simple applications such as heating soil and asphalt samples prior to quality testing the LBB forced convection oven, with its fast heat-up rates and short processing times, is a popular choice. For more sophisticated testing, choose an oven with the microprocessor based Protocol 3TM controller. It provides simple and flexible operation and can be paired with monitoring and data logging software for detailed reporting of oven process data.

DFD INSTRUMENTS develop, design and manufacture the PAT adhesion testers, which are high precision pull-off type measuring instruments for adhesion and bond strength testing of all types of films, coatings, laminates, adhesives, metals and other materials. The adhesion testing technology, based on the concept Dynamic Force Distribution, ensures completely reproducible test results regardless of the testing circumstances like e.g. the shape of the substrate. Also, with this test equipment laboratory results are always comparable with field test results. The unique design of PAT ensures total test reliability: The test results are not operator-dependent. The testing machines are supplied with attachments ranging from the 1 kN micro-adhesion tester (typically for testing on very small components or areas) up to the fully automatic 80kN tester (mainly used for metal coatings). The equipment is either manually operated or fully automatic. Logging and storing of the test results can be done with the Windows-based digital testing module.

Over thirty years of experience have gone into the development of our products. At our facility in Jackson, Wyoming, we design and build extensometers for testing around the world. Extensometers are available for testing almost all engineering materials including: elastomers, plastics, composites, metals, ceramics, geomaterials (e.g. rock, concrete, and asphalt), and biomaterials including bone. There are models for tiny and delicate samples, including relatively fine wire, up to massive metal samples and large rock cores. The huge variety of models covers nearly every type of test as well, including: tensile, compression, bend, fracture mechanics, and cyclic strain controlled tests like low cycle fatigue.
