About the Editors

Dr. K. Hokamoto opened his faculty position at Kumamoto University, Japan in 1987 and he is currently Professor & Deputy Director of the Institute of Pulsed Power Science, Kumamoto University. His research interest is materials processing using explosive and other impulsive phenomena and he published about 200 journal papers mainly related to such field. He received some awards such as Academic Promotion Award by Japan Welding Society in 2016, Academic Achievement Award by Committee on Impact, The Society of Materials Science, Japan in 2018. He has been organized the ESHP series since 2003 launched from Kumamoto as to activate researches in explosion, shock-wave and high-strain-rate phenomena of various materials.

Dr. K. Raghukandan is an alumnus of Annamalai University, India and joined as a faculty in 1985. He is currently the Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Annamalai University. His research interests include Materials processing using explosives and laser welding. His research contributions are close to 275. He is the receipient of William Johnson International gold medal and Distinguished teacher awards. Many of his papers have won best paper awards. He has co ordinated various prestigious project grants.
