Applications of Ion Exchange Resins in Vitamins Separation and Purification

Sudipta Saha, Bidyut Saha

Vitamins are vital compounds for the improved development and growth of the human body system. Together chemically and analytically, vitamins are divergent assembly of composites as they comprise of biomolecules. The source of vitamins is the necessary dietary food stuff. Small amounts of vitamins are needed to sustain a healthy life. Vitamins are generally classified into fat-soluble and water-soluble vitamins. The major portions of vitamins are vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin E and vitamin K. This chapter discussed diverse procedures for the partition and purgation of vitamins B, C and K through several ion exchange resins.
