About the Editor

Norbert Radek

Norbert Radek is an associate professor at the Kielce University of Technology as a Head of the Department of Exploitation Engineering and Industrial Laser Systems (Faculty of Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering) and Director of Centre for Laser Technology of Metals. In 2000, he obtained the M.Sc. degree in specialization laser and plasma technologies in the mechanical engineering field at TU Kielce. He defended his Ph.D. degree in the 2006 specialization in surface engineering under the supervision of prof. Bogdan Antoszewski TU Kielce. He obtained his habilitation in welding technologies in 2013 at the University of Žilina. He specializes in surface engineering, especially in laser modifications of the surface layer, and in special varnish coatings, including railway and military ones.
