The manufacture of wafers for semiconductors involves a multitude of processes, and monitoring and maintaining correct temperatures and positioning at all times is crucial. Photon Control is a leader in the semiconductor industry, and many Fortune 500 companies come to us for our positioning and temperature sensor expertise.
Silicon wafer production involves numerous different processes and has to be highly accurate. The positioning needs to be spot on as wafers move through the various processes, and the temperature must be correct. The temperature often also needs to vary hugely within short spaces of time. If the accuracy is off, there can be a lot of wastage which costs manufacturing companies a lot of money.
We supply temperature and positioning sensors that are the technology within the technology, when it comes to wafer manufacturing equipment. Our sensors are accurate and reliable up to very high or low temperatures. They can also resist electromagnetic radiation and help reduce wafer wastage through highly accurate positioning.
At Zaber, we design and manufacture precision positioning devices that are affordable, integrated, and easy to use. Our devices are used in many different applications and markets, such as photonics and optics, life sciences, microscopy, and industrial automation
Zaber was founded in 1997 by a group of friends. Back then, precision linear actuators all used DC motors with gearbox and encoders, and they required bulky controllers and a number of other accessories and supplies. Precision motion control was expensive and difficult to set up and use.
Recognizing the need for affordable and integrated solutions for motion control, Zaber released the world’s first precision linear actuator with a built-in controller, the T-LA28 Series linear actuator.
Based on a stepper motor instead of a combination of DC motor, gearbox, and encoder, the T-LA28 was the first device to feature all control and drive electronics in one compact package. The integration of all control and drive electronics in the same package became the foundation of Zaber’s T- and, later, A-Series product lines.
Since introducing our first series, our product offering has grown to include over 100 motion control products, which are distributed worldwide. We continue to advance our design and manufacturing capabilities, allowing us to build, test, and ship most of our products within 1-5 business days.

SANS is the leading manufacturer and supplier of static material testing instruments in China. Slit systems are probably the most well-known product of JJ X-Ray. However, JJ X-Ray has a product portfolio which goes far beyond slits. Throughout the years, we have successfully provided many different types of components, sub-assemblies and even complete systems to our customers.
The components have typically been slit systems, high precision motion stages, diffractive optics systems, refractive optics systems, collimators, goniometers, end stations, SAXS systems as well as complete beamline solutions.

Interspectrum OU (IS) has been designing and manufacturing optical and FTIR spectroscopy instruments since 1991. Interspectrum’s instruments have been used in many applications and fields including analytical chemistry, material research, medical research, food science, applied physics, environmental and academic research.
IS offers two main product groups, FTIR Instruments and FT-NIR Instruments which form the company’s core products. IS manufactures a variety of optical spectroscopy component such as light sources, detector systems and accessories that can be used to produce a wide variety of spectroscopic systems. The modular FTIR/FT-NIR concept facilitates the arrangement of optical components into configurations that best fit the needs of a specific spectroscopic application.
IS also manufactures custom FTIR spectrometers for different specific application which are used through OEM and other partnership channels. IS team consists of 7 highly experienced engineers who have been previously engaged in designing spaceborne infrared spectrometers for the Soviet space stations “Salyut-4”, “Salyut-7”, “Kosmos-1686” and “Mir”.

Stresstech Group has since 1983 from the foundation of American Stress Technologies, Inc. served metal industry all over the world with solutions and high-tech instruments for non-destructive testing of the quality of components. Many leading edge companies in automobile and aircraft industry have already chosen Stresstech Group as their partner in quality control.
Stresstech Group´s main products are Barkhausen Noise analyzers, sensors and custom inspection stands, X-ray Diffraction analyzers and inspection stands, and residual stress testing instrument based on hole-drilling. Several different applications use Barkhausen Noise to study magnetic properties and thus the presence or absence of material defects and residual stress levels in various components like gears, bearings, camshafts, crankshafts, universal joints, piston pins, etc. X-ray analyzers use X-ray diffraction to measure residual stresses and retained austenite contents. The Prism system is based on hole-drilling technique for measuring residual stresses. Stresstech Group provides also custom inspection stands for shop floor quality control.

Teem Photonics is a privately-held company based near Grenoble, France. Spin-off from Schneider Electric founded in 1998, Teem Photonics is the leader in passively Q-switched microlasers as well as Photonics Integrated Circuits based on ion exchange technology.
The combination of passive Q-switching and microlaser technologies results in sources distinctive for sub nanosecond, high peak power pulses, generated from compact packages at high repetition rates. Wavelengths of operation are in the near infrared as well as the green and ultraviolet; applications include biophotonics, instrumentation, remote sensing, and material processing. Teem Photonics products are used in a variety of industrial and biophotonics applications. These include fluorescence, spectroscopy, gem marking, microdissection, communications, ranging, and as seeds for fiber lasers and supercontinuum generation.

For material processing even more than in other areas, Teem Photonics products offer picosecond class laser solutions at nanosecond economics. The narrow heat-affected-zone (HAZ) that may be generated with some materials is indeed negligible for a majority of applications. Picospark and PicoFlash series short sub-ns pulsewidth, stable, high repetition rate pulse trains are perfectly fitted to metal surface patterning and selective ablation of thin films (TCO patterning, LLO,..), or more generally high resolution micromachining processes. UV (355nm) and DUV (266nm) laser series can process virtually any type of materials and help minimizing your process quality dependence on the material itself.
