Delmic B.V. is a company based in Delft, the Netherlands that produces correlative light and electron microscopy solutions. Currently, DELMIC produces three systems, the SECOM, a platform for integrated fluourescence and electron microscopy, the SPARC, a high-performance cathodolumiscence detection system, and the Delphi, the world’s first fully integrated fluourescence and scanning electron microscope and the product of a collaboration with Phenom-World. These systems are also accompanied by ODEMIS, open-source software designed to navigate the integrated microscopy systems and to optimize image overlay.
Delmic originated as a result of the development of the SECOM platform, an integrated fluorescence and scanning electron microscope which was conceived by Charged Particle Optics group of Delft University of Technology. At the end of 2011 the company obtained the SPARC system from the Photonic Materials Group group at AMOLF. At the International Microscopy Conference in 2014, DELMIC also launched the Delphi system, a tabletop correlative microscopy solution that, like SECOM, combines a scanning electron microscope with fluorescence microscopy.
In 1991, Eastern Applied Research began as a regional service provider for x-ray fluorescence instruments. Technical associates offered on-site certification, consultation, and repair services with a focus on the East Coast of the United States. Those associates realized that most clients were looking for a single source for XRF Technology service and support. So, Eastern Applied added an in-house standards laboratory for standard re-certification and manufacturing of new XRF standards. They also began offering XRF analyzers for their clients testing needs.
In time, through the organizations dedication to offering efficient response times and competitive pricing (an overall dedication to customer satisfaction) the client list grew and demanded additional technical staff be added to support that demand. Expanding the on-site service personal to include representatives to cover Central and Western United States was the next step in the evolution of this complete service provider. Eastern Applied Research has continued to grow over the years and now provides service and support throughout North America – covering Canada and Mexico with bi-lingual service personal as needed.
Eastern Applied’s core technical staff has a complete working knowledge of a wide range of XRF analyzer models and the field staff receives extensive training on each model to insure a satisfactory experience for the client. Sales of XRF analyzers has expanded from just reconditioned systems (used XRF) to include new analyzers from a leader in XRF technology – Hitachi High-Tech. XRF analyzers from Hitachi High-Tech are known for providing the highest reliability and excellent precision for a large number of application interests.

The PicoQuant group was founded in 1996 to develop robust, compact, and easy to use time-resolved instrumentation and systems. Since April 2008 sales and support in North America is handled by PicoQuant Photonics North America Inc. In January 2010, the PicoQuant group was extended by PicoQuant Innovations, which was founded to support the increasing activities in the field of teaching, customer support and event organization.
